- Zombie Loan ch. 46!

Michiru is like, FUCK YOU BITCH, YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME? And I am like, Michiruuuu. ♥_♥ Marry meeeee.

- Until Death Do Us Part ch. 82:

I. I don't think I really need to add anything to that. ♥_♥

- Pandora Hearts ep. 19:

Why is everyone in this series made of adorable?!

Also, preview: ;lkajdf are they going to do the drunken antics thing? I THINK THEY ARE PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE DOING THE DRUNKEN ANTICS THING.

They're zooming through all this so fast. I wonder if this means they're going to do the whole Break's backstory bit. It seems an odd thing to end the show with, but hey, I'll be happy if they do it. Although I think I might have a total meltdown at all the gooshy ~NAKAMA~ love.

eta: O-oh my god. Someone on Pixiv totally just did a parody of the OP for Aoi Hana with Gil and Oz. I. I think I am scarred for life.

A Post of Things

Um. I was trying to delete the private version of this post that I had posted earlier because I was adding a little at the time as I did other things, and instead deleted the public one. Well, at least I only deleted one comment? OOPS.

A List of Things:

- Okay, so, Japan, this is what I want from you: a manga/anime with a bad-ass, sexy lady-boss of a criminal organization (ala Benika of Kurenai or Balalaika of Black Lagoon) who has an unquestioningly loyal lady NINJA BUTLER who is dark and cold and stoic, + tons of subtext. Is this really so hard? It doesn't even have to be explicitly girl-love! Just give me the goddamn lady ninja butler, okay. Why does this not already exist, why.

I, I need a lady ninja butler. In a crisp suit. With a cravat. Serving tea and bashing people's heads in. Being all cold and emotionless until something dire happens involving lady-boss and her stony veneer cracks and she becomes DISTRAUGHT and ANGRY and unbearably hot. Ffffnggg please give me this I beg of you.

- l-lol UDDUP ch. 69. Could we maybe have the ladies' motivational angst occasionally relate to something other than childbearing and child-rearing? I mean, you know, ladies sometimes want other things out of their lives. Shocking, I know.

- Re: Melancholy of Haruhi S2 ep 3: lol Koizumi, you will never not be gay.

- Pandora Hearts ep 14! FLAILING FOREVER BRB.

So, as usual, they left out some details that irritated me. I was okay with them leaving out Vincent playing with the corpses, because really, is it any surprise they weren't willing to show a little boy playing with intestines and stabbing out the eyes of corpses on TV. I was irritated that they left out Raven passing out into Jack's arms, but that was mainly just my fangirl talking. (Come on, that was slkf;jals adorable.)

But what really annoyed me was a much tinier omission; Raven's hurt/shocked expression when Oz is talking about how important Alice is to him. Instead he just gives this vaguely surprised sounding, "Oz..." I mean, that might be a tiny thing, but I felt like that expression was important! It really told you a lot about what was going on in Raven's head! It tells you beyond any doubt that his anger at Alice is about more than just protecting Oz! There's the angle that he probably wants to be that special to Oz, and the realization that he can't protect Oz in this situation because Oz isn't going to let him, and if he can't protect Oz, then what's he supposed to do? And also probably the realization that if he does anything to get rid of Alice at this point, Oz is probably going to hate him. And maybe I'm nitpicking here but I just feel like it was... important, okay.

But EVEN SO, this episode. Nearly made me explode. O god.

Yuki Kajiura, why is your music so gorgeous? And Break, why is your sadomasochism so appealing? And Daisuke Ono, why is your voice so irresistible? And Jack, why -

Okay, you're right, no need to ask. It's Jack.

Next week! Oz goes nuts! I AM SO STOKED.

- I wrote things! Gasp. For the PH kink meme.

So I finally got around to reading what was translated of Until Death Do Us Part.

GUYS GUYS GUYS.

I really really like it. But since we're talking about a manga revolving around a blind, genius swordsman who just happens to be a crazy-ass motherfucker and also amazingly hot, I guess that was pretty predictable. The plot (there was a plot? I think I was too busy staring at Mamoru to notice): 12 year old Haruka's family was murdered, and she's now being chased by, um, pretty much everyone, because she can predict the future, and well, predicting the future is such a useful ability. Being that she's psychic and all, she knows that Mr. Crazy-ass Blind Swordsman (Mamoru) is her only hope for survival, so she quite literally grabs him and drags him into the fray. He obliges her, thinking it's a temporary thing, but, well, see: title of manga.

Over the top, you say? Oh, but did I mention Mamoru's partner Igawa is a genius computer specialist with ~gangsta style~, who has provided Mamoru with special glasses that allow him to see WITH SONAR? And that they are both part of a vast vigilante organization that spans the whole world over? Or that Mamoru's sword is made of UNOBTAINIUM and allows him to cut through virtually anything? Or that some of the people after Haruka want to MAKE A COMPUTER OUT OF HER BRAIN?

Yes, this manga is in fact completely over the top, why do you ask? It is also made of AWESOME.

The arrangement with Mamoru and Haruka sometimes reminds me of Richard and Katherine from Privilege of the Sword, only if Richard were a total jackass. (Because really, Mamoru is a serious jackass.) There was even that scene were the heroine decides she is going to be useful! She is going to clean things! And OW, GODDAMNIT, WHY ARE YOU MOVING AROUND A BLIND MAN'S FURNITURE.

A word of warning though, there are certain loli-ish undertones, given that Haruka is 12, and there are certain vague romantic implications between her and Mamoru. Not active ones, mind you, and Mamoru specifically says at one point that he's "not interested in kids", but there are implications of things going in that direction eventually. (Uh, hopefully when she is older.) It really doesn't come off as loli, save for a small handful of illustration pages that are a bit fanservicy, but as loli fanservice goes, it is stunningly tame, and I have seen worse from CLAMP. Still, it might bother some people.

...Anyway, here is an illustration of why you shouldn't hire a yaoi fangirl for your assistant:

Dot dot dot...

"THE GIRL," AHAHAHAHA, OH GOD CAN'T BREATHE. to my undying shame I actually desperately want to see this doujin now I MEAN.

Speaking of doujins, I'd rather like to see this one, too:

The lady's name is Sierra. As you may have noticed, Sierra is hot.
